Lilly Pulitzer Endless Summer Sale

Good morning, everyone! I hope you've all gotten the chance to shop the Lilly sale (http://www.lillypulitzer.com/category/pc/1/84.uts). The selection is absolutely incredible, and a preppy girl can never have too much Lilly!
Daddy so kindly offered to check the website every so often at work (he goes to work at 6:00am) so I didn't have to stay up all night checking. What a gentleman =) Now spend away (you're doing your part to fix the economy; no one can argue with that!) and go back to sleep!

Here's what I purchased:

The Delia dress in Classic White Had Me A Blast

The Collins dress in Hotty Pink First Impression

The Eryn dress in Hotty Pink Wrapping Stripe

Stationery

There isn’t much else that makes you feel as special as receiving a handwritten letter in the mail. Let’s face it: few people use stationery these days. Many prefer emails, text messages, or mentions on Twitter to a beautifully written card. However, there are some traditionalists left, and, if you’re one of them, this post is for you.
Brooks Brothers $178 for 100 Cards

Crane & Co $29 for 20 Sheets

Jack & Lulu $18 for 10 Cards

Kate Spade for Crane & Co $20 for 10 Cards
Polka Dots Stationery $46 for 150 Sheets

Preppy Monogramed Gifts $22 for 10 Cards

The Stationery Studio, $50 for 150 Sheets
Also, if these prices seem a bit steep, you can check your local Hallmark store or even grocery store; Hallmark sells packs of cards, 20 for 6.99. I found some with fleur de lis--yay Kappas!

Essentials, Part Deux

Today, I'll continue my series on the essentials of the prep lifestyle.

#3 Riding Boots
J.Crew $298, http://tinyurl.com/42pe583

#4 The Polo
Ralph Lauren and Lacoste are two of the most well-known names when it comes to polo shirts. However, almost every preppy store makes a version.
Lacoste $79.50, http://tinyurl.com/3kx4dt8

Lilly Pulitzer - Fall Collection

I've finally gotten the chance to check out Lilly Pulitzer's Fall 2011 Collection. Needless to say, I'm in love. Below are some of my must-haves!
The Evie Dress in Bright Navy Ring Pop Jacquard
The Noelle Shirt in Bright Navy Showtime Dot
($88, http://tinyurl.com/3s3ogcv)
The Karen Top in Classic White Had Me a Blast
Not really Fall-appropriate, but adorable nonetheless

While you’re there, check out their new agendas. I recommend the large; it’s not too big, but it has ample room to organize your busy schedule!  ($24.95, http://tinyurl.com/3zyr5kb)
And don’t forget some correspondence cards to keep in touch with your prepster friends! ($17.95 for 6, http://tinyurl.com/3fujasc)
Now if I catch any of you in their new terry cloth sweatsuit set...

Saint James - NĂ© de la mer

Audrey Hepburn

 James Dean

Pablo Picasso

Audrey Tautou in Coco Before Chanel

Gwyneth Paltrow

I’ve been debating whether to get a Breton shirt from Saint James (http://www.saintjamesboutique.com/) ever since J.Crew started selling them. I finally made up my mind today, but decided to shop around to find the style I like most. After browsing the web, I stumbled upon a history of the company and found some great pictures of some famous prepsters sporting the brand, or versions similar.
According to the Saint James’ website, “The SAINT-JAMES Company has been established in Lower Normandy, in the commune of Saint-James, close to Mont Saint-Michel, since 1889. Its fame is based upon a cult item of clothing ‘the genuine pure new knitted woolen Breton seaman's sweater’. Originally intended for deep sea fishermen, then adopted by known seafarers, and amateur. Its pure wool, pure cotton, ‘seashore’ lines attract a large clientele on the coast, but also in the major cities of France, and equally throughout Europe, the United States, Canada, and Japan.”

Warning: These tees run on the bigger side. I'm a size 2 or 4, depending on the brand; I got an extra small shirt, and it's still fairly loose. Nothing a tailor can't fix, though!

Meridien II

And Saint James sells more than just Breton tees. They also have hats, scarves, and bags—to name a few. Below are my picks.

Pieds Rayes Socks, $25 http://tinyurl.com/3ltre88
