Holiday Gift Guide - Miscellaneous

As you all know, I've made two gift guides to make your holiday shopping go as smoothly as possible. This is a miscellaneous guide showcasing gifts that work for either gender and tips to save you money. Enjoy!

My Holy Trinity of discount shopping is made of Gilt Groupe, One Kings Lane, and Rue La La. These sites offer amazing deals on designer brands. Hunter Boots, which normally retail around $150 are always on Gilt for $80. Luxury bedding goes from $1000 to $250 at One Kings Lane. And Rue La La offers the best brands at a fraction of the cost (think Marc Jacobs, Yves Saint Laurent, etc.). I recommend signing up for all three of these sites and keeping an eye on them over the next few weeks. Sales on Rue La La and One Kings Lane begin at 11:00am EST daily, and Gilt begins at noon. I'm sure you'll find a great gift (maybe even a new cocktail dress for you!).

I also suggest checking ebay.com for things like iPhone cases, Lilly Pulitzer tumblers, and Kate Spade paper products. A lot of people buy these things from the stores when they have huge sales (think Lilly's End of Summer sale) and post them on ebay at a discounted price. Sometimes you only save the cost of shipping, but that $5 adds up!

Lastly, here a few gifts that work for both guys and girls:

Vineyard Vines
Coozie, $5

True Prep by Lisa Birnach, $10.36

Preppy: Cultivating Ivy Style by Jeffery Banks, $29.40

Ralph Lauren, $31.18

Saint James
Minquiers 10, $70
This is a unisex shirt. It’s meant to fit loosely. That being said, you can always get it tailored. Girls who normally wear a small or medium should definitely get the extra small.

Vineyard Vines
Shep Shirt, $98.50
They do make a women’s version of this shirt, but they don’t have any with one solid color, which is what looks best.
